Today I would like to focus the spotlight on one of HRM's most amazing bands.....

Brite-Vu

Brite-Vu is a powerful three piece rockband out of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The band consisting of three seasoned musicians, Robb Medwid, Greg Erkvaara, and Steve DeWolfe bring the west coast feel to the east!

With the success of their single "Crash" their first release from their debut album "Time Intertwined", Brite-Vu has gained national and international recognition!
With move to the international markets have shown that their desire to make long lasting music is just a small example of whats to come!
The band has been working with FMP ( Ferguson Music Productions) in the studio with award winning engineer/producer Scott Ferguson and have developed their unique unforgettable sound.

I personally have had the opportunity many times to witness the incredible talent of our friends Robb, Greg & Steve of  Brite-Vu  and have been blown away every time they hit the stage, these rockers definitely leave you "Speechless" ...I for one am so pleased to call them friends! ♥

Today I would like to turn the spotlight away from musicians and venues and turn it to someone who is very dear in the hearts of many......

Dennis Field, the owner, engineer/producer of Denmark Productions Recording Studio lives and breathes music 24/7. He has gained the love and respect of so many artists in the music community for all he does to promote new talent here in the HRM.

In business since 1988, Denmark Productions provides a professional, clean and modern facility for the recording musician.
Dennis is well know for his Producer skills, his patience and dedication are the reason he has gained the respect of so many.
Working with a lot of new artists, some of which find themselves in the studio for the very first time, Dennis provides a very professional and fun atmosphere while walking the musicians through the whole process.

I have had the opportunity to meet Dennis on several occasions, always a very kind and sincere man!
One of these occasions was at The Halifax Plugged In- 9 CD Release Party .

Denmark Productions Recording Studio is more than just a studio, Dennis supports and helps acts he records.
This year they will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Halifax Plugged-In Series, an extremely successful event Dennis hosts each year as his way of helping bands get exposure.
Each year Denmark Productions Recording Studio create a compilation CD featuring several bands and acts and help promote their original material. With the professional guidance of Dennis, the ideas these artists arrive with soon become an amazing reality and it doesn't stop there!
Dennis continues to support these musicians long after the CD is produced,and many of which later return to record their debut CD's and more!

While I haven't personally had the opportunity to visit Dennis in his studio, Denmark Productions Recording Studio, so many of the musicians I have constant contact with rave about it, as being one of the best equipped  studios on the east coast!
Denmark Productions has a long list of studio equipment and in house studio instruments all well maintained and ready to create the perfect tone!

As busy as he is Dennis still finds the time to help promote musicians by offering his time to judge in several different competitions such as several years at the ECMA's, Juno's and Band Wars, etc.
The man has a heart of gold!

Dennis has now been nominated for a 2011 East Coast Music Association (ECMA), Studio Engineer of the Year award!
